Looking to edit your Prospector Letters? Or you're new to Prospector and need to setup your canvassing?
In the following guide, we'll aim to get you set up on Prospector, Homesearch's on-market canvassing platform.
"If you're new to Prospector, it is advisable to click on "send letters to all potential vendors" right after choosing your key dates for the first time. We're not planning on dispatching any letters just yet, but it will provide you a pop-up of all available letters to update. Once done, you'll be all set to canvas on-market properties."
Within Prospector, you have two main ways of canvassing on-market homes. Either the send letters to all function at the top right of the page or send letters to individual group stages.
The former will canvass all of the stages you have selected via the Change Key Dates button, the later will only target properties within the group stage. All 2 week old properties for example.
Whether you've clicked on "send letters to all potential vendors" in the top right of the page, or the send letters option for an individual key date, a pop-up like the one below will appear.
You can then proceed to click on the pencil icon ✏️ on the left to edit your letter. Any letter with the explanation mark ❗, is a letter you have not updated from the original Homesearch template.
This pop-up will also display a cost in credits to send this job to the printer.
Within the letter editor, you'll have the chance to set and save your desired letter for that group of properties. So you can save your two week letter for the two week properties and your 4 week letter for those who have been on the market 4 weeks and so on.
Within the editor, you'll have the options to upload your headers and footers, update contact info and amend the body of text. Alternatively you can upload your own PDF letter.

Once you are happy with your new letter, select save and this will return you to Prospector.
The next time you select Send Letters to either all or an individual group, the Exclamation mark would have disappeared and you can order the job via the pop-up menu.
