How do I investigate a property on Homesearch?

Researching for a valuation? Just answered the phone to a potential vendor and need info on their property asap?

60% of the data you’ll find on Homesearch is proprietary: meaning you really won’t find this data elsewhere. The 24 billion pieces of data we hold on property in England, Scotland and Wales can certainly save you time, compared to researching a property's history on your own, checking multiple websites to find out when it last sold, it's EPC rating, the plot size, sold comparibles etc...

To bring up what we call a "Homesearch", simply start typing the street postcode of the property you're looking to research in the top left search bar and a dropdown selection will appear for you to pick the correct home.

Click on the green cell with the total properties on the street to expand the selection;

From here, click on the address in question to jump to it's "Homesearch" page. You'll now have all the data we hold on this property to help you establish a repour with the homeowner.

It's worth noting you can also search via the door number and road name. However, we personally prefer searching via postcode as it can sometimes be a more direct way to locate a home in our database. Rather than say, trying to look through a long list of number 123 Hight Streets to find the one local to you.
